Book Launch - starting at Waterstones Reading28th October 2019
We started out book launch at Waterstones Reading, visiting Waterstones Oxford, Newbury, Banbury, the Corn Exchange Wallingford, supported by Wallingford Bookshop, as well as John Lewis Reading. Phew! What a packed week, which included an interview on That's Thames Valley TV. Here's what Cheryl had to say...
"'Peter Pixie Visits the Rescue Centre' is an exciting story with great illustrations and fascinating facts about the woodland world and the creatures who live there. Children can engage with the story and the illustrations while learning about nature, which may lead them to find out more, particularly when they are out and about in the countryside. The interactive storytelling & draw along event really brought this book to life and it was evident that the audience really enjoyed it." Cheryl, Bookseller Waterstones Reading |
Book Reading - Ladygrove Park Primary School14th March 2019
Thank you to Michael and Paula Woodward for sharing the adventures of Peter Pixie with his ant antennae belt and pet spider. We were left on a cliff hanger with the stag beetle air ambulances just having been launched. The children loved their sneak preview of the book's illustrations and colouring in their nature pictures.

Book Reading - Moulsford Preparatory School8th March 2019
We were lucky enough to have Michael and Paula Woodward join us in our Pre Prep department to share with us some extracts from Michael's new book, "Peter Pixie Visits the Rescue Centre."
Michael had the boy’s interest from the beginning and they were captivated by the story and very disappointed when it stopped - everyone was asking “but what happens next?” The reading was interspersed with lovely informative facts about the characters and the native wildlife that they are based on. It made adults and children alike want to rush out to Forest School and look for acorns with holes in them! |
