Book (paperback) - 'Peter Pixie Visits the Rescue Centre'
Peter Pixie lives in a toadstool in the middle of a deep, dark forest. Like all
young Pixies he has to go to school. He travels there with his best friend
Jonathan in an acorn train to the big oak tree in the middle of the forest.
Today is an exciting day because his day class is visiting the Rescue Centre.
Whilst there, an unexpected emergency happens when a human is detected
on a mushroom hunt, and the Pixie children get to watch a real life rescue
Will the Pixie villagers escape to safety in time? And will the bad
human get his comeuppance?

Book reviews - Peter Pixie Visits the Rescue Centre
The imagination and the illustrations really bring the book to life. Our favourite part was the man being sick - it's gross and taught us not to eat wild mushrooms! We also like the acorn lift, which is a great idea. As a parent, it was nice to have a story that lasted longer than the usual children's books we are used to. Any kids or parents who want a great book with excellent illustrations and a story that lasts longer than the norm will love Peter Pixie.
Beautifully written and the pictures superb. My granddaughter who will be 7 yrs old in December and lives in Queensland Australia was absolutely thrilled with her Peter Pixie book and can't wait for the second book to be available !!!
This enchanting book will stimulate children's imagination and develop their curiosity. It takes us into the world of tiny Pixies, who live in toadstools and travel by acorn trains. Readers will be intrigued by Pixie food, including aphid milk, snowdrop squash, caterpillar crumpets and honeysuckle biscuits. The colourful illustrations will inspire children to investigate the creatures and plants living all around us in the natural world.
