On Friday 1st November and day five of launch week we will be at the Corn Exchange, Wallingford from 10am-2pm for the opportunity to meet the family of the author Michael J Woodward, around which some of the characters are based, as well as the illustrator Alison Lingley. We will also be playing the audio of Michael reading the story. The audio will be played at:
"Peter Pixie lives in a toadstool in the middle of a deep, dark forest. Like all young Pixies he has to go to school. He travels there with his best friend Jonathan in an acorn train to the big oak tree in the middle of the forest. Today is an exciting day because his class is visiting the Rescue Centre. Whilst there, an unexpected emergency happens when a human is detected on a mushroom hunt, and the Pixie children get to watch a real life rescue take place! Will the Pixie villagers escape to safety in time? And will the bad human get his comeuppance?" Receive a FREE book mark, sticker and interactive colouring-in sheets of some of the characters from the story when you buy the book, plus access to the secret Honeysuckle biscuit recipe if you subscribe to our newsletter! We'd love to see you there!! Register your interest below to attend through our Facebook events page. Sadly Michael Woodward died suddenly on 17th September 2019 as he was excitedly preparing for his book launch. Whilst he may be gone, his stories will live on. An audio of him reading his first book "Peter Pixie Visits the Rescue Centre" will be available to purchase through the website www.peterandpaulapixie.com after 28 October 2019.
